These sweet crab legs are incredibly delicious and combines so well with the lemony butter.
Although they may not be cheap, this recipe makes them worth it.
For this recipe you will need:
- 1 lb king crab legs
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) salted butter, melted
- Lemon slices
These king crab legs are surprisingly easy to make. Crab legs you have eaten before at restaurants will likely have been frozen, salted and boiled. Buying fresh (or frozen & unsalted) and baking preserves the buttery sweetness of the crab meat.
Using sharp scissors or a knife, cut the legs in half and place them on a baking tray with the flesh facing upwards.
Next, place the butter and garlic and a bowl and microwave it for 30 seconds. Squeeze in the lemon juice and stir in the parsley. Use a pastry brush to spread the lemon butter over the crab meat, but make sure to set some aside for dipping.
Cover the crab and set it aside if you don’t plan to serve them straight away. When you’re ready to cook, preheat your oven to 375F. Bake the crab legs for 5 minutes, until they are hot all the way through. Serve them immediately after squeezing over with a little lemon, and garnish with extra lemon wedges.
