This salmon is seared in a frying pan and smothered in the tastiest garlic and lemon butter sauce you have ever had.
By searing the salmon, it comes out tender inside with a super crispy exterior. This seared salmon recipe uses minimal ingredients that you will definitely have at home, and it’s very quick to make.
The ingredients you will need for this recipe are:
- 4 salmon fillets, skin off
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1/4 cup chicken stock
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 3 tbsp plus 1 tsp of unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp honey
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- lemon slices for garnish
Now its time to cook!
Begin by allowing your salmon to come to room temperature. As the salmon rests outside the fridge, make the sauce.
Heat 1 tsp of butter in a saucepan until melted over a medium heat, and then saute the garlic until it starts to go golden brown. Squeeze in the lemon juice and then stir in the chicken stock. Bring your sauce to the boil, and then allow to simmer until it has reduced by half. Lastly, whisk in the honey and the rest of the butter. Set the sauce aside whilst you make the seared salmon.
Dry the salmon fillets with a paper towel on both sides, and then season with salt and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a non stick frying pan over a medium high head until it’s shimmering. Place the salmon in the man and cook for 4 minutes on one side. Once the first side is golden brown, turn the salmon over and cook for until 2-3 minutes until both fillets are cooked all the way through.
Place your seared salmon on your serving plate, leaving the oil in the pan.
Smother it in your lemon & garlic butter sauce and top with lemon wedges. Serve it with tasty green veggies for a complete meal.
